A Few Frequently Asked Questions🐋

Why plantsy vegan recipes?

They are what I am personally aiming to eat more of - and what people most often request from me. It's that simple. Kitchen Table Talk and Tea is all about great food. Stop by and never run short of a fabulous breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert idea. A cleanish and plantsy vegan one, that is.

What is actually meant by cleanish and plantsy vegan recipes?

ALL recipes on the site are made with vegan ingredients. MOST are clean simple eats. MOST are plant-based. Taken as a whole, they are cleanish and plantsy.

What do you mean by 'plant-based'?

A plate filled with plant foods - fruits, veggies, seeds, nuts, herbs, spices, whole grains and legumes, such as beans, peas, lentils and peanuts. Taken as a whole, the recipes are plantsy.

What do you mean by 'clean simple eats'?

Clean eats are foods made from whole, unprocessed ingredients. Taken as a whole, the recipes are cleanish.

Do you write all of the recipes?

No! There are thousands of recipes across my Meal and Mindset Planner, Recipe-a-Day email series, and Blog. I pay recipe writers for the rights to use and sell their recipes, then I design and organize them into collections.

The same team of writers write and test the recipes on the Menu Boards in the Meal and Mindset Planner. Another team writes and tests most of the recipes in the email series. Random writers create recipes from images for our blog. These recipes are reviewed and/or tested by up to two people.

I LOVE reading recipes and envisioning them!

My interest in recipes stems back to my childhood. I would ask my mom to teach me to cook. She would say something to the effect of: Do you know how to read, Kate? Then you know how to cook. Go do your homework. And that was that. When all of my grade school friends were reading Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books from the school's book club, I was ordering up all of the recipe books.... and joke books. Why did the baker stop baking doughnuts? Because he got tired of the whole business.

And, NO, I can't cook. And I'm not known for my sense of humor. But, to this day, I love to read recipes.

I'm insanely jealous of all the babies I follow on social media who have dashing personalities and cook up great recipes for the internet. 👶They are amazing!
